The only 1939 requisition this required this sheets to be
numbered 1 up. The 3/4pi, 1pi and 11/2pi were urgently
required and whole quantities of these values were to be
shipped so as to reach Cyprus not later than March 1939.
The instructions went further to state that at least
150,000 of the 3/4pi, 90,000 of the 1pi and 60,000 of the
11/2pi should be dispatched by insured parcel post to reach
Cyprus by 31.3.38. The balance was to be sent by the end of
April or the beginning of May at least.

1939.
